The complaint suggests Bennett used a state-owned computer for political fundraising and other campaign purposes. Bennett stepped down in August as Florida's education commissioner. He has denied accusations of improperly raising the grade of a charter school run by a Republican donor. In September, a bipartisan report suggested the revisions “were plausible.”
Bennett was defeated in last year's election by Democrat Glenda Ritz.
