The venue's name is a reference to 1961, the year the Schnitzelbank opened. The first event was held at KlubHaus 61 in August.

JASPER, Ind. – KlubHaus 61 is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration! The new KlubHaus 61, formerly the Jasper Country Club, is a venue designed for events such as wedding receptions, corporate events, holiday parties, and any other celebration. There are several room layout options to accommodate intimate gatherings, large events, and everything in between.
A ribbon cutting for KlubHaus 61 will be held this Thursday, October 10 at 4 p.m. A Grand Opening Celebration will follow the ribbon cutting ceremony and last until 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration and enjoy tours of the facility, refreshments, door prizes, and networking.
Owners Gail Hettinger and Alan Hanselman purchased the property in January, 2013, and the remodeling process kicked off immediately. During this process, several walls, furniture, fixtures, and flooring were removed. The project's architects, Universal Design Associates, Inc., designed an open floor plan to maximize the interior space and increase the venue's overall seating capacity. Streicher Construction served as the General Contractors for this project and worked diligently to have KlubHaus 61 ready for the first event on August 31.
