An Indianapolis-based real estate company is expanding into property management. Milhaus says the new division will oversee its Artistry development in downtown Indianapolis. August 30, 2013

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Milhaus is expanding the company with a new division, focused on managing the properties it develops. The first development to fall under the new division will be Artistry.

“As Milhaus continues to rapidly grow, it is a natural progression to manage our developments from construction through property management,” said Tadd Miller, CEO, Milhaus. “Our company was already focused on creating places where people can live consciously; this allows us to seamlessly focus on quality designs and services residents want from start to finish, beginning with Artistry and soon with Circa.”

Kim Hurd will be the Director of Residential Services for Artistry. Hurd has worked with both privately owned and moderate-sized management, construction, and development companies during the course of her 17-year career in the residential property management industry. She is active in the Indiana Apartment Association, where she serves on several committees; served as chairperson of the Midwest Multifamily Exposition and Education Conference; and teaches National Apartment Association on (NAA) designation-level courses. In 2007, Hurd was named Volunteer of the Year by the Indiana Apartment Association. She is also active in the National Apartment Association, serving on several advisory boards, committees, and speaking at the 2013 NAA Education Conference and Exposition.

Danielle Littlejohn will serve as the Residential Services Manager at Artistry. Littlejohn also has extensive property management experience in the Indianapolis area.

Artistry, a $26 million mixed-use project in downtown Indianapolis, is on track for the first apartment homes to be available this fall. Leasing will begin in September.

Located at 451 East Market St., Artistry is being revitalized into a five-story mixed-use space with apartments as well as retail and office space. Fifty-eight unique floor plans are available for studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.

Artistry is pet friendly and includes unique features such as a rooftop recreation deck and an infinity pool with dramatic views of downtown. There will also be an art gallery, movie theatre, caf?, wellness studio, and aqua lounge. The two courtyards feature an outdoor kitchen, vegetable garden, bocce ball court, putting green, and sitting areas. On-site recycling and laundry will be part of the concierge services. Covered parking is also available. For more details, visit artistryindy.com.

Artistry is one of five Milhaus projects to begin in less than three years. The construction of Circa, a $26 million mixed-use development in the Chatham-Arch historic district was recently announced. The Mozzo apartments in downtown Indianapolis are now fully occupied. Residents are moving into the Solana Apartments at the Crossing near Keystone at the Crossing. Leasing also continues at the Penn Circle Apartments in Carmel.
