The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has named Steve Hamilton vice president of finance. He most recently served as corporate treasurer and corporate director of finance with New York-based Redcats USA.

News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra announced today the appointment of Steve Hamilton as Vice President of Finance, effective July 29. Hamilton will be responsible for overseeing the ISO's financial management and its human resources and information technology departments.

Hamilton has had extensive experience as a financial executive, most recently as Corporate Treasurer and Corporate Director of Finance with Redcats USA, the largest specialty multi-channel retailer of value-priced apparel and merchandise in the U.S. Prior to his tenure at Redcats, Hamilton served in various senior-level finance positions for Auto Source, Inc., the worldwide headquarters for Kentucky Fried Chicken and H. J. Wilson Co., Inc.

In Indianapolis, Hamilton’s commitment to the performing arts community is evident through his leadership work on the boards for the Phoenix Theatre (Treasurer), Dance Kaleidoscope and Storytelling Arts of Indiana (President). He earned a bachelor’s in accounting at the University of Kentucky and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

“Steve's extensive and broad experience in accounting, financial analysis and strategic planning makes him the right choice for the ISO,” said Gary Ginstling, CEO. “Better yet, he clearly demonstrates a strong commitment to and an appreciation for our local arts community by voluntarily serving as an executive member on several boards. I’m very pleased he will be joining our senior management team.”

Hamilton’s appointment comes on the heels of two recent additions to the ISO's management structure – Holly Johnson, Vice President of Development, and Daniel Beckley, Vice President of Operations and General Manager.
