Massachusetts-based Hologic Inc. (Nasdaq: HOLX) has provided additional details of a plan to close an Indianapolis facility. In a notice to the state, the company says the move affects 140 workers and a round of cuts is scheduled to begin this month. Additional employees are expected to be let go in September, November and December.

Hologic says when the layoffs are complete around the end of the year, it will result in the Marion County operation's permanent closure.
