A recent U.S. Chamber of Commerce study revealed the state could gain as much as $2B a year if rural communities had better broadband access. Linden-based Tipmont REMC has emerged as one of the pioneers in bringing reliable internet access to small communities across Indiana. The state recently awarded Tipmont a $16M grant to expand and accelerate broadband access in unserved areas.
