COVID-19 is causing significant financial challenges for hospitals across the state due to increased cost supplies, suspension of elective procedures and many patients avoiding care. Between March and April inpatient volume in Indiana fell 26%, outpatient surgery was down 52% and outpatient services fell 46%.
