Indiana Boosts Number of Free, Online Classes

Subscribe NowHoosiers who want to improve their chances of finding a job or upskilling to a new career have a new set of tools at their disposal. The state of Indiana is partnering with online education firm 180 Skills to provide a bank of free, online courses.
The programs are geared towards Indiana’s manufacturing industry which could help students obtain industry-recognized credentials. It also offers classes that teach interviewing and communication skills.
The partnership is part of Indiana’s “Rapid Recovery for a Better Future” initiative led by the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet.
The deal will allow up to 100,000 Hoosiers to gain key workforce skills free of charge. 180 Skills said it offers a library of more than 700 online, interactive and competency-based skills courses.
All Hoosiers who are unemployed or otherwise impacted by COVID-19 are eligible. Click here to learn how to enroll.
