The Washington, D.C.-based Fiber Broadband Association has selected Kimberly Pitcher for its inaugural Women in Fiber Spotlight. She serves as manager of plant engineering for Ellettsville-based Smithville Communications. The association created the award as a special initiative meant to highlight and recognize the different roles and careers for women in fiber, telecom, tech and construction.
