New York Tech Firm Moving HQ to Carmel
A New York-based software company has announced plans to move its corporate headquarters to central Indiana. Simplifeye, which provides software technology to medical healthcare businesses, plans to invest $10 million to occupy space in the Monon on Main building in Carmel and bring with it 75 high-paying jobs. The company is owned by Indiana native Dr. Ryan Hungate, an orthodontist who previously worked for Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL).
Simplifeye plans to maintain its current office in New York while moving its executive staff to Carmel. The city says the average salary for those working in Carmel will be about $100,000.
“Our growth has been phenomenal over the past year as more and more medical professionals begin to rely more heavily on technology to work with their patients,” Hungate said in a news release. “We chose Carmel because it offers so much for our employees and is situated in the heart of an area with many high-tech and medical and dental firms that we will be working with.”
The company will lease the second floor of the Monon & Main building, situated above Anthony’s Chophouse.
Brian Bondus, director at the ALO Property Group, which brokered the deal, says landing an anchor tenant during a pandemic is “a testament to the fact that employers see downtown Carmel as a place they can attract and retain the talent they need to grow their businesses.”
The company plans to open its new headquarters by mid-October.
