Layoffs at Evansville Soft Drink Bottling Company

Our partners at WEHT-TV in Evansville report RC Cola Bottling Corp. notified workers last week of the pending layoffs.
The company is a distributor of many soft drink brands owned by the Keurig-Dr. Pepper Inc., including RC Cola, Dr. Pepper, Sunkist and 7-UP.
The company says it will no longer produce or distribute RC Cola and other brands owned by KDP. According to the TV station, the WARN notice to the state says the number of workers laid off may increase depending on the success of the company’s new business model.
The company expects the layoffs to begin in September.
The RC Cola company website indicates its service area includes regions of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.
