Governor Eric Holcomb promoted Bob Grennes to commissioner of the Indiana Department of Revenue. He has served as chief operating officer since 2017. 

Grennes also serves on the Project NextDOR Executive Steering Committee, which leads a modernization project to allow Hoosiers to use state-of-the-art technology to file tax returns, make payments and manage accounts.

He built his career over four decades in the private sector leading information technology and financial services organizations at USA Funds, USA Group and Sallie Mae. 

Grennes’s new position is effective Feb. 1.
