INDIANAPOLIS - TechPoint, Indiana's technology initiative, has opened the application process for its Sales Bootcamp, an intensive program for career changers seeking a position in tech sales.

The nonprofit says the four-year-old program has a job placement rate of 90%.

In previous years, the workshop lasted six weeks, but the organization has shortened the program to four weeks.

“Six weeks is a lot of time to go without a paycheck, “said Merillat Flowers, TechPoint’s senior director of the College-to-Career Talent Programs. “In addition to shortening the length of time, we’ll offer three different camps next year, hoping to help fill demand, which continues to be high for these high-paying jobs.”

TechPoint says the bootcamp is ideal for people who might be considering a career change or recently graduated students who want to launch a career in sales.

The accelerator has 20 spots available in each of the three sessions being offered in 2020.

  • Session 1: January 23 to February 19; Applications open now - January 10
  • Session 2: May 14 - June 10; Applications open March 23 - May 1
  • Session 3: August 6 – September 2; Applications open June 22 - July 27
