Indianapolis-based health analytics software company Springbuk has released its list of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. Three Hoosier companies made the list and two central Indiana companies broke made the top ten.

Carmel-based CNO Financial Group was named the No. 1 healthiest company in the U.S. The company specializes in health insurance, life insurance and retirement solutions.

“We are proud to be a five-time honoree and be once again recognized for our commitment to employee health and our exceptional corporate wellness programming,” said CNO Chief Executive Officer Gary Bhoiwani. “By partnering with our associates and their families to improve their well-being, we strengthen the financial health of our company.”

Springbuk uses six areas of health and well being to create its list, such as culture and leadership commitment towards well being of employees, programming and intervention, and reporting and analytics.

Springbuk says the list of honorees range in size from 32 full-time employees to over 200,000 employees. They cover a variety of industries and government agencies.

Boone county-based Witham Health Services is ranked No. 7.  The health system operates seven locations in central Indiana, including its main facility in Lebanon.

“Wellness has been woven into the fiber of Witham because of our strong Employee Health department. They are always sharing activities and programs that foster wellness, many of which are not only beneficial, but fun,” said John Komenda, vice president of physician services at Witham.

Also making the list is IU Health at No. 68.

“Our vision at IU Health is to make Indiana one of the healthiest states in the country. As the state’s second largest employer, with over 34,000 team members, that vision means we must empower our team members and their families to live well,” says Liz Dunlap, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for IU Health.

Springbuk uses data and health analytics to help companies address healthcare expenses for employees and other populations.
