FORT WAYNE - The Fort Wayne Area Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association is launching a new apprenticeship program. The association told our partners at WPTA-TV it will offer a 4-year program with hands-on training in both plumbing and HVAC to rebuild its talent pipeline.  

The association will Wednesday host an open house for contractors, owners, and managers to debut its renovated facility.

“Most know there is a skilled labor shortage. We aren’t just acknowledging it we are doing something about it. We are investing in our labor force because they are our future,” Ray Abbott, president of the Fort Wayne Area Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association said.
