Trine to Open Expanded Health Sciences Center
Trine University will cut the ribbon today on its expanded Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne. The additional space will house the university’s new surgical technology program as well as future programs planned for the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences.
The 8,900-square-foot space is located in what was formerly an eye surgery center. It is adjacent to Trine’s existing Health Sciences Education Center on the Parkview Randallia campus.
While the expanded center will officially open Thursday, renovations to the space will continue until the beginning of August. The expanded area will include two state-of-the-art operating rooms, classrooms, locker rooms, and a sterile processing department, among other amenities.
Officials from Trine and Greater Fort Wayne Inc. will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, which is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
