IU Health Foundation Exceeds Fundraising Goal
The Indiana University Health Foundation exceeded its fundraising goal by more than 300 percent in its first full year. The foundation raised more than $19 million in 2018, which includes government grant dollars and commitments raised through the foundation.
“From Monticello to Paoli and from Lafayette to Portland, IU Health patients and caregivers are reaping the benefits of philanthropic giving from generous donors,” said Crystal Hinson Miller, president, IU Health Foundation. “More than $10 million was distributed to support our mission this year.”
A result of the fundraising will be the statewide expansion of a grants program, primarily available only in Central Indiana. Foundation officials are currently working out details on how to best roll out the program, which is expected in the second quarter. The foundation raises funding to assist IU Health and hospitals statewide, with a goal of addressing several areas, including opioid abuse, infant mortality and obesity. Click here to learn more.
