Construction on MedTech Park to Begin
FISHERS - Officials in Fishers will Friday break ground on the first portion of the $13 million MedTech Park project. Muncie-based Central Indiana Orthopedics, which first proposed the development more than two years ago, says construction will begin on a 50,000-square-foot medical office building.
The MedTech Park is being developed on a 37-acre plot of land near 136th Street and I-69 in Fishers, just east of St. Vincent Hospital. Central Indiana Orthopedics says the project is already "attracting a critical mass of innovative medical services providers to ultimately create a regional destination for expert care."
When the project was first announced, the developer said the medical office building would include a clinic, surgery center, imaging, and physical therapy, among other services. It would also create 25 jobs, in addition to Central Indiana Orthopedics' existing workforce in Fishers, which is currently located at St. Vincent Hospital.
Central Indiana Orthopedics President Nimu Surtani will join Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness and officials from Envoy Inc. for the groundbreaking ceremony.
