The Indiana Academy will induct three new members at its 48th annual dinner celebration Monday. The new honorees will be acknowledged by the Academy for lifetime achievements in the state of Indiana.

This year’s inductees are:

Habecker (pictured – Indianapolis and Upland) – Dr. Gene Habecker has served as president at two ICI member institutions, Huntington University and Taylor University, from which he retired in 2016 as President Emeritus. Habecker is also a Sagamore of the Wabash recipient.

• Jane Magnus-Stinson (pictured – Indianapolis) – Jane Magnus-Stinson is Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Prior to her appointment in 2010, Magnus-Stinson served as a federal magistrate judge from 2007-10. She also was a Judge of the Marion Superior Court from 1995-2007. Magnus-Stinson served as Counsel to Governor Evan Bayh from 1991 to 1995. She maintained a civil litigation practice at the firm of Lewis Wagner from 1983 through 1990.

• Mary Louise Miller (Winona Lake) – Mrs. Mary Louise Miller is a significant force behind much of the civic improvement and the cultural richness of the Winona Lake/Warsaw community. Miller serves as president of the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation that provides financial assistance to hundreds of charitable organizations and educational scholarships to Hoosiers. Mary Louise also founded ML Motorsports which competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and is recognized as the first NASCAR team to be jointly owned by a mother and daughter.
