INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group, the developer leading $550 million plans for the city's former GM Stamping Plant site, will provide additional details Friday evening on the project. Company officials and Mayor Joe Hogsett will host a community gathering at the property and unveil what they say will be a major infrastructure initiative and a name for the downtown district.

Plans unveiled last May call for a 15-year transformation of the old manufacturing site near the White River. In April, Ambrose closed on the deal for the long-abandoned property and said a first phase of work could be expected to begin by year's end.
