BAM Weather, a locally based private weather forecasting company, has added Terry Powers as its managing director of sports and special events. He has decades of event experience; most recently as vice president at USA Diving and 11 years at the 500 Festival where he was vice president of operations.

Founded in 2012 by meteorologist Michael Clark, BAM Weather specializes in delivering a unique and accurate forecast. The company currently provides forecasting and weather monitoring services for multiple industries including agriculture, energy, public service agencies, major league baseball, schools, festivals and special events. The new sports and special events focus will provide BAM Weather’s expert forecasting and weather monitoring services for sporting events as well as other large gatherings like festivals and fairs across the country.
