The state’s signature agricultural marketing effort has a new leader. Indiana State Department of Agriculture Program Manager Suzi Spahr has added responsibilities as director of the Indiana Grown initiative. The ISDA has also named Dana Kosco outreach manager for the effort.

Spahr has served as program director since 2016. She succeeds David King, the previous director of Indiana Grown, who left more than a year ago for a private sector position. Spahr came to the department in 2014 and will manage the team and direction of the initiative, as well as serve as liaison among state agencies and industry. Kosco previously served as American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation Program manager and office manager for former Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann.

Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, who serves as Indiana Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, says "over the course of the last few years, Indiana Grown has rapidly expanded and thrived, and that success highlights the importance of having the right team behind the initiative. I am excited to see how we can build upon this momentum and take Indiana Grown to the Next Level."

Indiana Grown promotes Indiana produce, products, farmers and artisans and has more than 1,000 members.
