Notre Dame Taps Ford For Business Development Efforts
The University of Notre Dame has appointed Scott Ford associate vice president of new business development. Ford, who currently serves as executive vice president of Bradley Co. in South Bend, will be responsible for coordinating the university's economic development efforts.
Notre Dame says the goal of Ford's position is to combine the efforts of the Notre Dame Research, the IDEA Center, University Relations and the Office of Public Affairs and Communications to create a positive effect on the university and the South Bend-Elkhart region. Ford succeeds Jack Curran, the first person to sere in the position.
Ford is also the former executive director of community investment for the city of South Bend. During his tenure, the university says, Ford implemented a strategic restructuring of the city's approach to economic development, which led to nearly 2,600 new jobs and $440 million in new private investment.
