ANDERSON - Madison County government employees will have to work from a temporary location for up to seven months. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report the county will clean up asbestos in parts of the nearly 45-year-old government center in downtown Anderson.

Madison County Commissioners have approved a lease agreement with Anderson University that involves court and clerk offices moving to the Flagship Enterprise Center and the remaining functions setting up in multiple First Savings Tower floors.

The publication reports remediation work is set to begin December 4. The regular courthouse location is slated to be closed from November 27 through June 30.
