PRINCETON - Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. will Wednesday celebrate a milestone in Gibson County. Governor Eric Holcomb will join company officials to commemorate the five millionth vehicle produced at the Princeton plant.

TMMI manufactures Toyota's Highlander, Sequoia and Sienna models and produced more than 400,000 vehicles in 2016. The company employs more than 5,300 at the facility.

In January, Toyota announced plans to invest $600 million to expand the facility and add up to 400 jobs by 2019, which was touted as one of the largest private-sector expansions in state history. Last year, TMMI celebrated its 20th anniversary in Princeton.
