Bechdol was directly involved in ISDA's international trade and investment activities through participation in then-Gov. Daniels’ four trade missions and coordination of then- Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman's two agricultural trade missions.
The ISDA established the AgriVision Award to recognize one Hoosier for his or her contribution to agriculture and Indiana. Currently in its 11th year, the AgriVision Award is open to any Indiana resident and all sectors of agriculture—from bioenergy to livestock to trade. It was specifically created to honor an individual who has reshaped Indiana agriculture through his or her visionary ideas in innovation, technology and/or agribusiness.
