CARMEL - MJ Insurance has announced plans to move its headquarters from Indianapolis to Carmel's Midtown District. The company says it expects to move into the 30,000 square-foot space in July 2018 and all 135 of its Indiana employees will relocate there.

MJ Insurance is currently located on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The company says the new headquarters will allow for future growth "in a collaborative and flexible workspace." 

"We searched long and hard for the ideal location for our new headquarters and were greatly impressed by what’s happening in Carmel," said Michael Bill, chief executive officer of MJ Insurance. "The location, and desirable amenities all around, are an ideal fit for our culture, our changing industry model and sets the perfect foundation for MJ’s growth over the next decade. We can’t wait to make the move."

The company's new Carmel headquarters will be located along the Monon Greenway, which is currently undergoing expansion and is expected to be complete at the time time MJ Insurance relocates to the new building. The MJ Insurance building is currently being developed by Carmel-based Old Town Development and is owned by Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group.
