The Indianapolis Indians have named Bruce Schumacher (pictured) chairman of the board and chief executive officer. He succeeds Max Schumacher, who will transition to chairman emeritus, following his 60th season with the club. General Manager Randy Lewandowski will become the team’s president. Max Schumacher will maintain his position on the team’s finance committee and  serve as a suite host during games. Bruce Schumacher joined the organization in 1983 as ticket manager, and has risen through the ranks, most recently serving as vice president of corporate affairs. The North Central High School and Indiana University graduate is also a member of the Metropolitan Development Commission in Indianapolis and serves on the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership board. Lewandowski has been with the organization since 1994, beginning his career as a ticket office intern. He has served as the organization’s general manager since October 2014. The Fort Wayne native holds a degree in business management from Anderson University. As part of the transition, Vice President of Baseball and Administrative Affairs Cal Burleson will transition to senior vice president of community affairs.
