In his new role, he will provide "strategic oversight and counsel" regarding the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Keane will work with Chief Executive Officer Andy Hove and AM General’s parent, MacAndrews & Forbes Inc., in his new position. He spent nearly 40 years in the Army before retiring as a four-star general. AM General, announced last month plans to move its service parts and logistics operations into a new 210,000 square-foot facility in South Bend. The move is expected to be complete by the end of the year. The company manufactures specialized vehicles for military and commercial customers.
