Economic Development Corp. Michigan City, Indiana has hired Katie Eaton as economic development manager. She previously worked with Junior Achievement La Porte County and The Center of Workforce Innovations. In her new position, Eaton will focus on EDCMC’s Business Retention and Expansion program, Workforce Development initiatives and community partnerships. She is a graduate of Michigan City Area Schools and Purdue University North Central. Eaton has served a member of the Purdue Alumni Association for three years and was most recently voted president for the newly formed Purdue Northwest Alumni Organization. Previously, she has volunteered for Junior Achievement, served on the Purdue Northwest Unification Committee, served on the board for NWI Leaders, is a graduate of Leadership LaPorte County, and board member of Coolspring Community Association.
