The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has announced two new positions. Shelley Huffman was named college and career director and Caryl Auslander was appointed federal affairs lobbyist. Huffman has worked for the Indiana State Budget Agency, Office of the Governor, the Indiana Department of Education and Heritage Christian School. She was also a governor’s fellow to the Commission for Higher Education. Huffman received her master’s from Butler University and her bachelor’s degree in business and political science from Ball State University. Auslander currently serves as vice president of education and workforce development and has previously been a federal lobbyist and worked for former U.S. Senator Richard Lugar. Auslander has also recently led federal advocacy projects for the Indianapolis-based firm, The Corydon Group.
