INDIANAPOLIS - The service provider for the Healthy Indiana Plan has selected Geoffrey Petrie as vice president of compliance. Petrie joins Managed Health Services, after previously serving in a similar role with WellCare Health Plans in Florida.

MHS says in his new role, Petrie will ensure the company and its parent, Centene Corp. (NYSE: CNC), are in compliance with state and federal regulations, insurance regulations and regulatory requirements for businesses, and state contract requirements. Along with the HIP, Managed Health Services also serves Hoosier Healthwise and Hoosier Care Connect.

As part of WellCare Health Plans, Petrie also served as director of corporate compliance and regulatory affairs, where he oversaw the strategy for all market health plans. He has also served as a regulator, overseeing compliance for all Medicaid managed care plans for Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration.
