Trustees Approve USI Tuition Increase
Students at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville will have to pay more for classes. The Board of Trustees has approved a $108 million operating budget for the 2015-2016 school year and a tuition increase in each of the next two years.
USI says the plan includes a $227.92 per-semester credit-hour fee increase for Indiana undergraduates during the upcoming school year, which will increase slightly for the same students in the 2016-2017 school year. Out-of-state and graduate student tuition and fees will also rise in the coming years.
The board also approved an increase in student fees and laboratory fees for 2015-2016.
Meanwhile, the board approved an authorizing resolution for construction of a $2.5 million Welcome Center. The school plans to start construction in the spring of 2016.
