Bose Public Affairs Names VP
Bose Public Affairs Group in Indianapolis has named Pete Seat vice president. He most recently served as executive director of strategic communications and talent development for the Indiana Republican Party. Seat has worked as the communications director for statewide campaigns including Governor Eric Holcomb’s 2016 gubernatorial campaign and Dan Coats’ 2010 U.S. Senate campaign.
VOX Global Promotes Three
VOX Global has promoted Joel Cooper (pictured), Hannah Riffle (pictured) and Mickey Terlep to senior account executives. Cooper most recently served as digital producer. He joined the company as an account executive after completing a fellowship with the company's global Washington, D.C. office. Riffle previously served as account executive. She graduated from Ball State University in 2017 with a degree in public relations.
Bose Public Affairs Adds Sanders
Bose Public Affairs Group has hired Shannon Sanders as public relations account coordinator. She most recently served as press secretary for the Indiana State Senate, where she handled media and communications efforts for Senators Buck, Crane, Freeman, Gaskill, Merritt and Ruckelshaus. Prior to her working as press secretary, Sanders served the Indiana State Senate as a legislative assistant. She is a graduate of Indiana University.
McFarland PR & Public Affairs Names Consultant
McFarland PR & Public Affairs has promoted Kevin Hannah to associate public relations consultant. He led management of the company’s launch of We Changed the Game, a book about the formation of the Indiana Pacers and life in the American Basketball Association.
VOX Global Grows Indianapolis Team
VOX Global, a strategic communications and public affairs firm, continues to grow its Indianapolis team by adding Joel Cooper as a digital communication specialist and promoting Luis Sorto to account executive. Cooper joins the company as an account executive with the digital practice group. He creates and manages digital advertising campaigns. She is approaching her five year anniversary with the full-service advertising, public relations and digital agency.Brewer is a University of Kentucky graduate and an experienced advertising and marketing professional.
Collective Alternative Adds Account Manager
Full-service marketing, advertising and public relations firm Collective Alternative has named Joey Foster an account manager. She previously worked as a marketing compliance specialist for a retail mortgage lender, and as a manager of client services for a marketing agency based in Chicago.
Hunter Joins Bose Public Affairs Group
Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has added Claire Hunter as a public relations account executive. She will support clients from a variety of industries on the local, state and national level with expertise in public relations, media relations, social media strategies and crisis management. Hunter previously worked at The Glover Park Group in Washington, D.C.
IUSA Names Executive Director
The Indiana Utility Shareholders Association has named Benjamin Pete Bauer executive director. He most recently served as regional government affairs director for the Indiana Association of REALTORS, and also has worked for the office of Congressman Todd Young and in other political posts.
Brady Joins Bose Public Affairs Group
Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has added Michael Brady as a vice president. He previously worked as director of advocacy at the Indiana State Medical Association. He previously served as director of INSPECT, Indiana’s prescription drug monitoring program. Brady also has held positions with the city of Indianapolis, the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns and the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce.
The Corydon Group Adds Staff Member
The Corydon Group is growing its association management practice with the new addition of the Indianapolis Medical Society as a client. The Indianapolis-based public affairs firm has also hired Morgan Perrill to run the IMS as its executive vice president and serve as The Corydon Group’s director of strategic initiatives. She most recently served as the Indiana House of Representatives’ Majority Caucus director of legislative operations/staff director.

He will support the education/nonprofit and diversity & inclusion practice groups.

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has promoted Rachel Sorvig to vice president. She joined the firm in 2012 and most recently served as public relations director. Sorvig previously served as communications director for the office of Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman, where she managed communications for the Lt. Governor’s office and five additional state agencies including those responsible for agriculture and energy policy.

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has promoted Chris Wilson to public relations manager at the government relations and strategic communications firm. He focuses on media and public relations, strategic communications and social media strategy for the firm’s clients. Wilson recently was part of a project recognized with a Diamond Award from the Public Relations Society of America’s East Central District.

He interned with the firm during the 2017 Indiana legislative session and provided support to the firm’s professionals and clients. The Corydon Group Hires Wernert
Indianapolis-based public affairs firm The Corydon Group has hired John Wernert as a senior vice president to launch its new Health Policy Center. He has recently been working in Kentucky and Indiana on improving rural access to mental health and addiction services, as well as on alternative payment strategies with insurers. Wernert is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and has practiced medicine in Indiana for more than 30 years.

Bose Public Affairs Group Promotes Cornell to VP
Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has promoted Amy Cornell to vice president. Since joining the firm in 2016, she has represented Indiana’s farming industry including Indiana Pork. As a member of the government relations team, she has also worked with the Indiana Economic Development Association assisting Indiana’s rural communities with land use planning, policy and infrastructure.

VOX Global has promoted Mike Marker to managing director. His new role will include oversight of the firm’s field offices and team, directing the strategy, business development and culture. After starting his career as a journalist, Marker worked for Ruder Finn in New York City before joining FleishmanHillard in Chicago. He is a founding member of VOX – formed in 2007 – and a lead crisis counselor and media trainer.

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has added Michael Nirenberg as a public affairs specialist. He'll be part of the federal government relations team in Washington, D.C. Nirenberg previously interned at Green Apple Accreditation of Children’s Services in Davie, Florida. He focused on crafting political development strategies for increasing state-by-state expansion for accreditation certification and presenting funding requests to state governments.

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has named Scott Bedwell (pictured) a senior policy advisor. He'll serve as an alcohol and tobacco industry consultant for Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. Prior to joining the firms, Bedwell spent 25 years with the Indiana State Excise Police. Also, James Brown and Trenton Hahn (pictured) have been promoted to principal at Bose Public Affairs Group. Brown and Hahn both previously served as senior vice presidents.
Umbarger Joins Bose Public Affairs Group
Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has named former Adjutant General of Indiana, Major General (Ret.) R. Martin Umbarger, a senior policy advisor in its Indianapolis and Washington, D.C. offices. He served 46 years in the Indiana National Guard, retiring in May 2015 as Adjutant General of Indiana, a position to which former Governor Joe Kernan appointed him in early 2004.
Bose Law, Public Affairs Group Hire Victor Smith
Outgoing Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith has a new job in the private sector. Smith will join Indianapolis-based Bose Public Affairs Group LLC group as a partner and parent firm Bose McKinney & Evans LLP as a partner in the Business and Governmental Services groups. Smith became secretary of commerce when Governor Mike Pence took office in 2013.
Former Lawrence Controller Joins CivicPoint Team
Keith Johnson has joined CivicPoint in Indianapolis, Frost Brown Todd's multi-state government affairs subsidiary. He previously served as deputy chief of staff, city controller and spokesperson for the city of Lawrence. Johnson was also a senior adviser to the mayor in the areas of communications, finance, economic development, capital projects and zoning matters.
Former State Senator Joins The Corydon Group
The Corydon Group LLC has named Carlin Yoder vice president. He served eight years in the Indiana Senate from 2008-2016. During his most recent time in the Indiana Senate, Yoder served as chairman of the Transportation and Homeland Security Committee and ranking member of both the Education and Career Services and Veteran Affairs and the Military Committees.
Catalyst Public Affairs Group Hires Associate
Catalyst Public Affairs Group has named Scott Carr an associate. He was named the outstanding intern in the Indiana House of Representatives in 2007. Carr has served on a variety of political campaigns, including as a special assistant to gubernatorial candidate Jim Schellinger, campaign manager for Congressman André Carson, political director for the Marion County Democrat Party, and the 2015 Indianapolis City-County Council campaign coordinator.

Amy Cornell joins the firm as a second vice president in government relations and of counsel with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. Rachel Schrage will serve as a public relations account executive on the strategic communications team.

Tamm Capital Group has named Elise Shrock director of operations. She will also oversee all functions of the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association, Indiana Association of Beverage Retailers and other association clients. Shrock previously served as deputy chief of staff and communications director for the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus for eight years.

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has promoted Rachel Sorvig to public relations director. She will manage and develop strategy for local, state and national clients from a variety of business sectors. Sorvig joined the firm in 2012. Prior to joining Bose, she served as communications director for the Office of Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman.

Maria Quintana has joined the Bose Public Affairs Group LLC. She most recently served as executive vice president and managing director at JP Morgan Chase before retiring in April 2015. Throughout her career there, Quintana was instrumental in advising on many of the State of Indiana's most significant financial transactions.

Andrew Miller and Trevor Vance have been named principals of the government affairs and strategic communications firm at Bose Public Affairs Group LLC. Both were previously senior vice president. Miller joined the firm in 2000. Vance, who has 20 years of government relations experience, joined the firm in 2009.
