Indiana University vice president for international affairs, Hannah Buxbaum, has been elected to the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law. The Hague Academy was founded in 1923 as a center for high-level education and determines the scientific policies and activities of the academy, designs its programs and chooses lecturers. Buxbaum joins 17 international scholars on the Curatorium.

Tavitas joined the Lake County Superior Court in 2006 following an appointment by then-Governor Mitch Daniels.
