Messer Construction based in Cincinnati has promoted Steve Bestard to senior vice president and Indianapolis region leader. He previously served as vice president and Indianapolis region leader. Bestard earned a B.S. in construction engineering and management from Purdue University.
IBA Hires Communications Director
The Indiana Builders Association has named Abigail Campbell communications director. She most recently served as press secretary for the Indiana House Republican Caucus. Campbell is a 2017 graduate of Indiana University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Weber Group Promotes Nofsinger
Sellersburg-based Weber Group has promoted David Nofsinger to associate director of construction. He has been with the company since 2008. Nofsinger will handle management of traditional construction projects that include mixed-use buildings, multi-family housing, senior living facilities, tenant fitouts, retail centers and commercial office building developments.
Dealers Wholesale Names Assistant Controller
Dealers Wholesale has appointed Jennifer Strong assistant controller. She brings prior experience within the real estate industries. In her role with Dealers Wholesale, Strong will be accountable for preparation of the financial statements, financial budgets, and key performance indicators. She is an alumnus of the Kelly School of Business, Indiana University.
Dealers Wholesale Hires General Manager
Dealers Wholesale, distributor of building materials and solutions provider to the construction industry, has named Michael Shannon as Commercial Multi-Family Division General Manager. Shannon will be a member of the senior management team in charge of overseeing purchasing, production, quality control and shipping/receiving. He has previous experience within the professional services and manufacturing industries.
Envoy Adds Director of Product and Engineering
Envoy, an Indianapolis construction management and development firm, has hired David Baldwin as Director of Product and Engineering. Baldwin will be responsible for identifying, implementing, and lead engineering, product, and marketing efforts for the company's business lines and those of its sister company, Elevate Office.
BMWC Constructors Announce Leadership Changes
Indianapolis-based BMWC Constructors Inc. has named President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Acton chairman of its board of directors. He succeeds Jim Davis, who has retired after eight years in the role and 30 years with the industrial and heavy commercial construction company. Acton will remain CEO. Chris Buckman (pictured) has been promoted to president and chief operating officer.

Paul Davis of Terre Haute has promoted Ken Bovenschen to general manager. He most recently served as field marketing manager. Bovenschen has been a sales and marketing professional for more than 25 years. He also served in the U.S. Army for 13 years and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class with specialties and designations as a combat engineer, Judge Advocate General NCO, logistics specialist, and petroleum specialist with a HAZMAT designation.
Charles C. Brandt Construction Adds Superintendent
Corey Serowik has joined Charles C. Brandt Construction Co. as general superintendent. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and has a background in industrial and municipal construction and is trained in fields ranging from CPR/First Aid to Hazardous Materials.
Mosaic Building Solutions Hires Assistant Superintendent
Kyle Lagemann is the new Assistant Superintendent at Mosaic. He will help manage, direct and coordinate onsite crews and monitor projects for safety, quality and cost standards. Lagemann graduated from IPFW with a bachelor’s in construction engineering technology.
Mosaic Building Solutions Names Project Manager
Fort Wayne-based Mosaic Building Solutions has appointed Tyler Gerig as a project manager. He will coordinate and direct the construction and post-construction process. Since 2006, Gerig has worked in various capacities in the construction industry including as a project manager and a director of operations.
Meyer Najem Promotes Weddle
Meyer Najem Construction LLC has promoted Brandon Weddle to senior business development manager, with a focus on the commercial market. He has been in the construction industry since graduating from Purdue in 1995. Weddle spent 10 years in the California construction industry before joining the firm in 2013.

Evansville-based Gribbins Insulation has hired Nathan Waldroup as estimator. His key duties include estimating new projects and interacting with clients. Waldroup previously served as purchasing manager at Eagle Railcar Services in Washington, Indiana, and as staff accountant for Wilcox, McCorkle & Co. Ltd based in Mount Carmel, Illinois.

Fishers-based The Hagerman Group has made several hires. Tippmann Innovation Fills Key Positions
Fort Wayne-based Tippman Innovation has hired Kristine Grudis as director of QuickFreeze (QF+). For nearly 25 years, she has been involved with the food/beverage, pharmaceutical, 3PL and industrial vertical markets with an emphasis on temperature controlled building solutions. Also, Nick Pacitti joined the company in leading the business development effort and is also head of the Tippmann Cold Chain Management consulting practice.

Gribbins Insulation Adds Safety Coordinator
Evansville-based Gribbins Insulation has added Kent Kafka as safety coordinator. He has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He previously served as an Indiana OSHA industrial hygiene compliance officer and as an industrial hygienist/safety consultant. Kafka holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Science degree, both in Microbiology, from the University of Illinois.

Hammond-based Korellis Roofing has named Brian Enright vice president of finance. His previous experience includes Powers & Sons Construction as a controller and Greenwalt CPAs, focusing on construction clients. Also, Chris Schuldt has been appointed estimators/project manager. He most recently spent 12 years working for a Fort Wayne roofing company in the low slope division.
Meyer Najem Construction Hires Three
Meyer Najem Construction has hired Brian Falcon (pictured), Jeff Soellner (pictured) and Ryan McNeely. Falcon has been named general counsel. Soellner has been appointed assistant project manager. Mcneely, senior estimator, spent his construction career in Indianapolis and received his bachelor's degree in building construction technology from Purdue University.
Arbor Homes Names Campbell VP
Indianapolis-based Arbor Homes has named Mike Campbell vice president of land acquisition and development. He previously spent more than 25 years in real estate development in Florida. Campbell served in similar roles with Lennar Homes and Centex Homes in the Sarasota Florida market. Most recently, Campbell was responsible for land acquisitions at WCI Communities covering the Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville Florida markets.
Shiel Sexton Names VP of Real Estate
Indianapolis-based Shiel Sexton has promoted Andy Sahm to vice president of real estate. He has been with the firm since 2008, serving in business development and preconstruction roles with a focus in commercial real estate. Sahm began his career as an architect and project manager. He holds a degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from Bowling Green State University.
Arbor Homes Promotes Watkins to VP
Indianapolis-based Arbor Homes has promoted Ben Watkins to vice president of customer satisfaction, research and marketing. He joined the builder in November 2014 as director of marketing and research. Watkins has nearly 20 years of experience in strategic marketing. Prior to Arbor Homes, he spent seven years as system lead marketing consultant for St. Vincent Health and also served as marketing manager for KB Home/Dura Builders.

Indianapolis-based Earthwave Technologies has hired Jim Hutchins as chief operating officer. He previously worked as vice president of systems development for re:Member Data Services, general manager for Open Solutions and most recently, chief technology officer for T2 Systems.
DeWees Construction Adds Senior VP
DeWees Construction has named Allen Galloway senior vice president of strategic planning, pre-construction and business development. He has more than 30 years of construction experience in retail, restaurant, medical, commercial and industrial, ground up and interiors. Galloway graduated from IU with a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Political Science and earned a Master of Public Affairs Degree with a concentration in Financial Administration from IUPUI.
Midwest Constructors Names Chief Marketing Officer
Midwest Constructors LLC has named Kyle Walker chief marketing officer. He previously served as deputy director for the Department of Public Works under former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard. In that role, he managed the Business Performance Management group, developed department policy and strategy, managed government relations and successfully launched and oversaw management of the Indianapolis Office of Sustainability.
Rose-Hulman Grad to Lead Caterpillar
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology graduate and trustee Jim Umpleby will take over next year as chief executive officer of Illinois-based Caterpillar Inc. He has been with the company for 35 years and will take over for Doug Oberhelman, who will retire next year.
Briner Building Names President
Bryan Harshbarger has been named president of Briner Building Inc. Harshbarger joined the company in 2007 and was promoted to vice president of sales/marketing in 2013. Previously he served as a project manager/estimator. Harshbarger is also a partner in the locally-owned Design/Build business.
Powers & Sons Names Director of Operations
Glenn Miles has been named director of operations at Powers & Sons Construction. He previously served as a regional manager for Walbridge Industrial Process. Miles brings more than 25 years of commercial construction expertise in addition to client relations and personnel management experience to the position. He will operate from the company’s offices in Gary and Chicago.

The Hagerman Group has named Kenneth Alexander vice president of sales. He is the former executive director of Grand Park in Westfield.
Alexander is re-joining the Fishers-based company, where he worked for 13 years. He previously served as director public works for the City of Westfield.
Custom Concrete Adds to Team
Westfield-based Custom Concrete has added to its team. Chuck Haberman was appointed onboarding coordinator. Angel-Lee Jensen was named special projects coordinator and receptionist. Haberman is a former United States Marine Corps combat engineer and construction chief. Jensen is a customer-centric professional with nearly two decades of project management experience within a variety of fast-paced environments.

Messer Construction Co. has promoted: Nicholas Warning, Eddie Wise (pictured) and Douglas Kasberg (pictured). Warning was appointed senior project accountant. Wise was named senior project manager. She brings more than 20 years of management experience to the firm with an extensive background in human resources, business, and training & development. Construction Company Appoints President
Indianapolis-based Indiana Constructors Inc. has named Richard Hedgecock president. He previously served as the chief of staff for former U.S. Congressman John Sullivan (R-Oklahoma) and vice president of government affairs with the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce. Hedgecock has also worked with AGC Arkansas.

Indianapolis-based Keystone Construction has hired three people. Ben Schuyler was named assistant project manager. Emily Scrougham was appointed project engineer. Alexis Nash (pictured) was named marketing coordinator. Schuyler most recently worked for a Kentucky construction firm. Scrougham recently graduated from Purdue’s School of Construction Management. Nash is an Indiana University's Communication Arts Program graduate.

Cynthia Tucker has joined Meyer Najem Construction as director of marketing. She was recently the owner of On Point Marketing Resources. Tucker also spent more than ten years as the marketing manager for Duke Realty’s national healthcare division and six years as the marketing manager for Summit Realty Group.
