Indianapolis-based American Structurepoint has named Rob Schoeck healthcare practice lead. He has managed hundreds of large and small healthcare and life sciences projects throughout the Midwest. Schoeck's client list includes Indiana Orthopedic Hospital OrthoIndy in Indianapolis, Margaret Mary Health in Batesville and Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

American Structurepoint Hires McCuen
American Structurepoint in Indianapolis has hired Bill McCuen as senior designer. He most recently served as director of design at KAI Design in St. Louis. McCuen worked with large multicultural teams designing schools and campuses for United Nations missions in the Middle East and Somalia. His international work also includes projects in China, Yemen, Lithuania and Russia.

HNTB Announces Promotion
HNTB in Indianapolis has promoted Keith Hinkebein to executive vice president for the firm’s national design-build practice. In his 26 years with the firm, Hinkebein has served as president of two divisions, chief operating officer, chief sales officer and chief delivery officer.

BSA Promotes Miller
BSA LifeStructures in Indianapolis has promoted Chase Miller to director of planning. Prior to that he served as project manager and planner. Miller holds a master of architecture and master of science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and bachelor of science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Indiana State Museum Hires VP
The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites has hired James Sved as vice president of historic preservation and operations. Sved was formerly vice president and director of architecture at Archaeometrix, Inc. He will be responsible for preserving the museum's 11 historic sites, as well as the daily operations and long term maintenance. Sved holds a bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon College and a master's degree from the University of Virginia.

MKM Promotes Mitchell to Associate Principal
Fort Wayne-based MKM architecture + design has promoted Andrew Mitchell associate principal. He has been with the company since 2009 and has led design efforts on numerous healthcare and community health projects. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University and is a registered architect.

RQAW Hires Two
RQAW has added Haylee Moscato as architectural historian and Andrew Cochrane as director of the firm’s water resources department. Moscato previously served as an archives and special collections graduate assistant at Ball State University. Cochrane previously worked as director of water resources at Shrewsberry & Associates.

arcDESIGN Promotes Four to Associate
Architecture and interior design firm arcDESIGN announced the promotion of Nate Alderfer, Jenner Lillibridge (pictured), Daniel Potash and Rick Rush (pictured) to associate. Alderfer leads key healthcare projects for the company. Lillibridge also leads healthcare design work for several clients. Potash leads projects and staff arcDesign's higher education sector.

RQAW Corporation Hires Project Managers
Fishers-based RQAW Corporation has hired Ken Jansing as a project manager in the firm’s bridge and structural department. Jansing will focus on bridge replacement designs for LaPorte and Hendricks counties along with several INDOT bridge rehabilitation projects. He previously served as bridge department manager at Northwest Consultants, Inc. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Purdue University.

RATIO Hires Associate Principal
RATIO has hired Kim Bolan Cullin as Associate Principal/Library Planner. Cullin is an experienced librarian, library evolutionist, planner and designer. She was founder and president of Kimberly Bolan and Associates, and has consulted with hundreds of public, K-12, and university libraries. Cullin will work in the firm's national library design team. She holds degrees from SUNY Geneseo and Syracuse University.

AIA Executive Director Made Honorary Member
The American Institute of Architects has named Jason Shelley an Honorary AIA Member, one of the highest honors the AIA bestows on a person who isn’t an architect. Shelley is executive director of AIA Indiana and is one of three people nationally to receive the designation. He has advocated for INDOT to rethink plans for 1-65/I-70. Shelley also helped raise funds to provide scholarships for young architects and the Indiana Architectural Foundation.

MKM Architecture Hires Director
MKM architecture + design has added Lauren Zuber as director of corporate & community engagement. Zuber joins MKM with extensive experience in community development, marketing, and strategic planning for a variety of industries and organizations. Her role as director includes strengthening connections between the firm and clients, target markets and communities they serve.

MSKTD & Associates Promotes New President
MSKTD & Associates has promoted Gary Voirol as its new president. Voirol has been with the company for over thirty years, including the last 12 as vice president and secretary. He will continue to co-direct the company's Academic Group and was also recently elected to the executive board of the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana. He earned his bachelor's degree from Ball State University and his master's degree from the University of Illinois.

Notre Dame Dean Named to AIA College of Fellows
The University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture dean Michael Lykoudis has been named to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows, an honor awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the profession. He has established several new initiatives as den, including providing hands-on experience with urban and architectural design.

RQAW Hires Two
Fishers-based RQAW Corporation has hired Michael Garringer as a project architect. He currently leads planning, designing and constructing projects and has over 15 years experience as an architect. Garringer has worked on commercial, government, health care, industrial and multi-family building projects. Also, Nick Cunningham has been named a construction administrator. He previously served as an operations supervisor at UPS and a logistics manager at Brinks Inc.

Schmidt Associates Names Principals
Schmidt Associates has named Ben Bain (pictured), Eric Broemel and Steve Schaecher (pictured) principals at the long-time Indianapolis architecture and engineering firm. Bain joined the firm in 2002 following a career in radio broadcasting. Broemel is a certified professional engineer, a certified energy manager and the firm's engineering quality manager. Schaecher is senior project architect and the firm's architectural quality manager.

DAVID RUBIN Hires Landscape Architect
Landscape architecture firm DAVID RUBIN Land Collective has opened a new studio in Indianapolis and made its first hire. Architect Brian Staresnick will spearhead the Indianapolis location. Land Collective has worked with Eskenazi, Cummins downtown Indianapolis, Newfields, and is currently working on the Envision Columbus Downtown Strategic Development Plan for Columbus.

Smith Joins CORE Planning Strategies
Benjamin Smith has joined CORE Planning Strategies as a project coordinator. With experience in construction planning and administration, he previously served as a code enforcement and project manager for the State of Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ engineering division.

BSA LifeStructures has hired Theresa "Teri" Joy as senior healthcare operations planner. She is a registered nurse in Indiana with more than 25 years of experience and Certified Emergency Nurse and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse certifications. Joy started her professional career as a clinical staff nurse in the orthopedic/neurosurgical unit and cardiac surgery recovery unit at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Guidon Design Hires VP of Architecture
Joel Farmer has joined Indianapolis-based Guidon Design as vice president of architecture. He has more than 28 years of healthcare design experience and has planned, designed, and managed numerous large and small healthcare and life science projects throughout the Midwest. In his new role, Farmer will focus on envisioning healthcare projects that integrate long-term overall wellness through functional and solution-oriented design.

arcDESIGN Promotes Three to Associate
Architecture and interior design firm arcDESIGN has promoted Brian Hostetler (pictured), Greg Miller and Kari Funston (pictured) to associates. Hostetler has been with the firm since 2004. Joy Bosse has joined the RQAW Corp. as a civil engineer in its expanding water-resources department. She is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He has experience in commercial, corporate and residential development, construction administration and graphic design.

She previously served as project manager and director of quality resources and professional services for Castle Rock Adventist Health Campus/Centura Health in Colorado. Mettlach provides state-of-the-art clinical and hospital operations insight and guidance for healthcare projects.

BSA LifeStructures Names Engineering Co-Director
BSA LifeStructures, a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm, has named Kate Allen co-director of the firm's engineering team. In that role, she partners with fellow co-director, Brian Hoagland. Allen joined the firm in June as engineering principal-in-charge for the Denver office. Previously, she served as managing director of Deerns America and director of A/E/C Industry Surveys for PSMJ Resources.

Fanning Howey Names Director
Indianapolis-based Fanning Howey has appointed Brian Butler electrical discipline director. He previously served as electrical section manager for CHA Consulting in Indianapolis. Prior to CHA, Butler worked at Enverity Engineering (formerly L’Acquis Consulting Engineers) as an electrical engineer.

BSA LifeStructures has promoted Geoff Lisle to national market leader for the learning market, which includes the firm's higher education projects. Also, Tim Spence will serve as national market leader for the healing market. Mary Agnew has been appointed director of architectural services for Indianapolis-based Odle McGuire Shook. She has more than 30 years of experience in architecture. Agnew brings a diverse portfolio of expertise in commercial, corporate, life science, hospitality, government and educational facility design.

Troyer Group Promotes Leszczynski to President
Mishawaka-based Troyer Group has promoted John Leszczynski to president. He previously served as senior vice president. Prior to that, Leszczynski also worked for the city of South Bend for 22 years, 17 of which he was director of public works and city engineer. He was also chairman of the board of directors for South Bend Public Transportation Corp. for 10 years and currently a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals and Area Plan Commission.

CSO Architects Adds to Team
Indianapolis-based CSO Architects has added six associates to its team: Lauren Baker (pictured), Tom Cheesman (pictured), Megan Ebling, Betsy Sebastian, Cheryl White and Nick Wissing. Paul Vincent has joined RQAW Corp. as a senior project manager. He brings more than 19 years of public works experience to the firm. Also hired, Adam Hoffer will serve as a civil CAD designer and an information-technology support technician for the firm. He has more than 16 years of computer-aided design experience.

Newburgh-based Morley and Associates Inc. has appointed John Winiger senior architect of the Midwest office. He is a registered architect in the State of Indiana and has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Ball State University.

RQAW Corp. has named Kristina Alexander business developer. She previously served as a county commissioner, auditor and chief deputy in Putnam County. Alexander has more than 18 years of administrator experience. The firm also hired Gary Fisher as a senior project architect. His architectural design experience includes 15 justice and correctional facilities and six educational facilities across the state.

RQAW Announces Change in Leadership
Indianapolis-based engineering and architectural consulting firm RQAW Corp. has selected Troy Woodruff (pictured) and Brad Battin (pictured) to co-lead the firm. Current President Richard O'Connor will retire in June. Woodruff joined the company in 2015 and has served as vice president of operations. Battin has been with the firm since 2013 and has served as vice president.

Newburgh-based Morley and Associates Inc. has promoted James Morley to president, succeeding his father, James Q. Morley, who is now chairman of the company. James was previously secretary and managing engineer. Bret Sermersheim has been appointed vice president of the midwest office and director of land surveying, succeeding Danny Leek. Darren Morley has been promoted to vice president of east coast region and director of architecture.

Fanning Howey Names Director
Fanning Howey has named Mark Joseph director of business development for Indiana. He previously served as partner and director of corporate and business development for MSKTD & Associates in Fort Wayne. Joseph also previously worked at INB National Bank and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Morley and Associates Inc. has added to its team at its Newburgh office. Lenzie Sowders (pictured) has been named marketing specialist and Casey Dugan (pictured) has been appointed secretary. Firm Names Second CEO in 40 Years
Indianapolis-based Schmidt Associates Architects has named Sarah Hempstead chief executive officer. She is only the second CEO and president in the firm's 40-year history. Firm founder and President Wayne Schmidt stepped down as CEO this month from the architecture, design and engineering firm he created in 1976. He will remain chairman of the board and the principal-in-charge of the Community Studio.

CSO Architects Announces Hires and Associates
CSO Architects has hired two and awarded status titles to six employees. Kyle Edwards has been named graduate architect and Vic Fritz has been named project architect technician. Chrislyn Davis, Todd Decker, Vic Fritz, David Hambrock, Brad Krohn and Kurt Sivilich have been named associates of the firm.

Rowland Design Appoints Principal and Associates
Rowland Design has promoted Randy Veatch (pictured) to principal. He joined the firm in 1991 and specializes in interior design solutions for office, hospitality, residential and higher education settings. Rowland Design has also appointed two associates: Tony Allen and Paul Sinclair.

Earles Architects and Associates in Schererville has hired Alesia Atwood as corporate account manager overseeing its commercial furniture division. She has more than 20 years of commercial furniture and design experience and previously worked at Designs 4 Interiors in New Lenox, Illinois.
