Work to Begin on Downtown Frankfort Park

Frankfort will break ground Wednesday on what it says will be a transformational park in the heart of downtown. The city has raised more than $650,000 for Prairie Creek Park, which will include vending spaces, outdoor stages and adaptive playground equipment.
Mayor Chris McBarnes will join representatives from the Frankfort city Council, Frankfort Redevelopment Commission and Frankfort Main Street for today’s groundbreaking at noon.
The project has attracted some significant donations over the past year. In February, the Clinton County Community Foundation announced a $250,000 donation for the park, followed in March by a $150,000 contribution by NHK Seating of America Inc.
