Indianapolis-based Women & Hi Tech has announced that it will pledge $20,000 in scholarships to female STEM students in Indiana as part of its “#WHT20for20” campaign. The scholarships will be presented during the organization’s 20th anniversary celebration event in August 2019.
Women & Hi Tech was founded in 1999 by an academic at Indiana University and a scientist at Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY). Its purpose is to change the enviorment of women represented in STEM making it equally inclusive to all. This year, Women & Tech will offer executive women’s forums, spring and holiday networking events, and a fall retreat in French Lick, all focused on the organisation’s theme of "Celebrating Our Past and Investing in Our Future."
