Subscribe NowAs sponsors and drivers continue to line up for this year's Indianapolis 500, a woman racing entrepreneur in Indianapolis firmly believes she will be on the starting grid. Pippa Mann says she has been working since the end of last racing season to make sure she will be prepared for the Month of May. Mann says smaller race teams have more flexibility to meet the specific needs of some sponsors. She discussed her approach to the racing business on Inside INdiana Business Television as part of our focus on women entrepreneurs throughout the state. Mann believes networking is essential to securing enough business support to allow her team to get a car on the track in May.
She says she is “extremely comfortable” about sponsorship prospects for this May, but is not ready to provide details.
Mann is the first British woman to qualify for the Indy 500. She made the field in 2011 and 2013.
