News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation, the supporting foundation for Bosma Enterprises, has reached its $1 million goal from a matching gift from Dean and Barbara White. The Whites made a total $1 million dollar gift in 2012. Half of the gift created a dollar-for-dollar matching program. The completion of this program also completes the Visionary Leadership Campaign established to build the Senator Charles E. Bosma Legacy Fund, the Foundation's endowment.

“This watershed gift has created such momentum for the foundation,” said Heather Quigley-Allen, executive director. “Dean and Barbara White's gift and the gifts of so many others will directly fund the critical programs offered at Bosma Enterprises for people who are blind or visually impaired. We cannot thank the Whites enough and the generosity of so many others who have helped us reach this landmark.”

The Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation supports Bosma Enterprises programs for individuals who are dealing with vision loss. Currently, Bosma Enterprises serves more than 1000 people annually with training and employment programs, but many more are waiting for help. The endowment helps meet increasing demand and combats the 70 percent unemployment rate among people who are blind.

For 100 years, Bosma Enterprises has been dedicated to creating opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. Our vision is that, one day, there will be equal opportunities for individuals experiencing vision loss. Learn more at bosma.org.
