Voters Name Parkview Field ‘Best of The Ballparks’

The home field of the Fort Wayne TinCaps has again received the most votes in a national Best of the Ballparks competition. For the second time in three years, Parkview Field came out on top in online brackets from Ballpark Digest. Four Winds Field in South Bend, home of the South Bend Cubs, finished second. The brackets involved 30 teams from the Midwest League and South Atlantic League.
TinCaps President Mike Nutter says "thank you so much to everyone that voted and helped spread the word for us. We are blessed to have such great fans and an amazing ballpark. We love our TinCaps supporters and are truly appreciative of all who took the time to help get Parkview Field to the top in this vote. We are honored to have such incredible support from fans, sponsors, local government, media, the Padres, and more."
The publication says more than 58,000 votes were tallied. Parkview Field opened in downtown Fort Wayne in 2009 and has hosted some 5 million fans for TinCaps games and special events.
