News Release

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – Velocity Indiana (www.velocityindiana.org) is celebrating its one year anniversary as an entrepreneurial hub and coworking space on Thursday, February 20th at 5:30 PM. The celebration will showcase Velocity Indiana's recently announced expanding co-working, meeting and office space, located just 90 seconds from downtown Louisville at 400 Missouri Avenue, Ste102, Jeffersonville, IN. All are welcome to join in this celebration.

Twelve months after launching in February 2013, Velocity Indiana has proudly mentored 40 startup company founders through its flagship accelerator and Startup Weekend NEXT programs; as well as, hosted 1,000 people over 25 workshops and events, awarded a total of $2,000 to four 5Across pitch competition winners and served 30 individual tenants in its coworking space.

“We are committed to providing an ideal place for entrepreneurs, designers, developers and marketers to work, learn and commingle, and I'm really happy with what we've been able to accomplish in our first year,” said Tony Schy, Velocity Indiana's Managing Director. “Our expanded space and current focus on educational programming and workshops are powerful resources for community members to expand their entrepreneurial knowledge and grow their ideas into successful businesses. We're really looking forward to year two and the continued

success of Velocity Indiana.”

To further its mission of growing the local entrepreneurial community, Velocity Indiana will announce new educational programs and upcoming events to be held in the space and launched in the coming months, during the anniversary celebration. Art from local artists will also be on display throughout the space during the event, as a tribute to the connection between art, design and entrepreneurialism.
