The University of Saint Francis has named Rebecca Kubacki to its board of trustees. She has served as a state representative since 2010. December 18, 2013

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – State Rep. Rebecca Kubacki has been named to the Board of Trustees for the University of Saint Francis.

The District 22 representative to the Indiana Congress, which serves Elkhart and Kosciusko counties, she chairs the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee and serves on the Commission on the Status of Children and Commission on Latino Affairs.

She is a board member for United Hispanic Americans and Early Childhood Alliance in Fort Wayne, the Indiana State Museum, Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, Ind. and Warsaw Biblical Gardens. She belongs to the Board of Governors for Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and serves on the President’s Advisory Board for Manchester University in North Manchester, Ind.

Her awards and honors include Volunteer of the Year for Wheaton, Ill. and the Los Angeles Children’s Aid Society, Woman of the Year for the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce, the Ten Year Service Award for Kosciusko Literacy Services and the Heart of Gold Award from Valentine School, San Marino, Calif.

She and her husband, Michael, live in Syracuse, Ind. and have two children, Katherine and Matthew.

The University of Saint Francis, founded in 1890 as a comprehensive university in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs through the School of Health Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership, School of Professional Studies and School of Creative Arts. The university’s College of Adult Learning designs focused curriculum for working adults by offering online and accelerated programs, through its Virtual, Fort Wayne and Crown Point campuses. More than 2,400 students from a broad geographic region attend USF for its academic excellence.
