U.S. Steel Clarifies Gary Cuts

U.S. Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) plans to begin laying off workers in May at its Gary Works facility. In a notice to the state, the company says it expects to cut nearly 325 positions. Most of the jobs involve production and maintenance.

Earlier this month, our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana reported U.S. Steel as also cut back in other states like Ohio, Minnesota and Illinois.
