The United Way of Bartholomew County is celebrating a record campaign. The Republic in Columbus reports the nonprofit collected $4.2 million, topping last year's total of $4.08 million. A spokesperson tells the publication, the number averages to a per-capita giving rate of more than $50.

The United Way of Bartholomew County held its annual meeting Tuesday at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus.
