TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Union Hospital, Inc. Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Steven M. Holman, FACHE is joining Union Hospital, Inc. as president and chief executive officer effective May 5, 2014. Holman will lead Union Hospital Terre Haute, Union Hospital Clinton and the Union Hospital Medical Group.

Steve Holman is a seasoned healthcare professional who comes to Terre Haute from Cincinnati, Ohio where he served as president and central market leader of Jewish Hospital, a hospital within Mercy Health Partners, a division of Catholic Health Partners. Under his leadership, Jewish Hospital realized a $30 million financial turnaround, significantly improved patient satisfaction scores, and implemented population health management initiatives in collaboration with the Mercy Accountable Care Organization (ACO), along with positively impacting the hospital in many other ways. Prior to his work with Jewish Hospital, he served in several capacities with Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois from 1986 through 2010. His most recent position there was vice president of planning and system services, where he increased patient satisfaction scores and established growth strategy for neuroscience services.
