Indianapolis-based USIC LLC has acquired CSS Group Inc. in Kansas. The Indiana underground utility company says CSS Group will operate as a subsidiary and remain headquartered in Wichita.

Indianapolis Ind. — CSS Group, Inc. (d.b.a. Translore), a technology company focused on applications preventing damages to underground utilities in Wichita, KS, was recently acquired by Indianapolis-based USIC. The company was principally founded by President Don Stearns, and Director Daniel Clemons, who will remain with the Company along with the entire CSS/Translore team. The company will be a subsidiary of USIC and will remain headquartered in Wichita, KS.

“The acquisition of CSS Group is a commitment to damage prevention through technology, and a first step to a more collaborative approach to public safety with our customers. We are excited that Don and his team will be part of USIC,” said Rob Tullman, President & CEO of USIC.
