Triton Brewing Details Midwest Growth Plans

Indianapolis-based Triton Brewing Co. is expanding operations. As part of a $435,000 investment, the company says it plans to add 17 full-time jobs over the next two years. The brewery says it has increased production tenfold since 2011.
The growth marks a big step for the five-year-old brewery, which currently has only five full-timers. Triton’s distribution footprint includes a statewide network of more than 1,500 local and national retailers. It plans to add equipment that will support expansion into Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio markets.
Director of Operations David Waldman says "this is a significant investment in our people and our organization, and this support from the state of Indiana will help us continue to grow and add jobs locally. We have a very strong connection to the community and the state, and we look forward to building our company and our lives here in Indiana. Many of the names of our signature beers are inspired by Indiana, and we look forward to sharing this Hoosier inspiration across the region."
Triton has been offered up to $57,000 in conditional tax incentives and as much as $45,000 in training grants. The expansion is the latest in a line of continued growth for the state’s craft beer industry. The Brewers of Indiana Guild says Indiana is home to some 125 craft breweries, employing nearly 8,000 full-time workers. You can connect to more about Triton’s expansion by clicking here.
