Townhome Project Set For Kokomo

Townhome Project Set For Kokomo The eight detached

A Howard County developer has announced a $1.6 million townhome development in Kokomo. Kaleb Hollingsworth expects construction on "The Grove on Mulberry" on the city’s near east side to begin later this year.

Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight says the development will "transform an important thoroughfare" in the city by repurposing an underutilized site.

The eight detached, three-story homes will be on the southeast corner of Mulbery Street and Apperson Way in Kokomo’s historic Near East Side neighborhood. The two- and three-bedroom homes will each be available for purchase.

Hollingsworth says he is excited to be "part of the growing and vibrant downtown," saying it is "clear that there is a strong demand" for homes in and near downtown. The project marks the second townhome development under construction in the area in the last year.
